What should be checked before an FIBC is filled or lifted?
Confirm that the product code, marking and specification match the intended contents and handling plan. Inspect the fabric, lifting loops, loop attachment points, seams, top and bottom closures, liner and any labels or document pockets. Isolate a bag if damage, contamination, missing identification or an unexplained difference is found.

STORAGE
Control exposure before the bag enters service
Store bags in a clean, dry and controlled area protected from direct weather, unnecessary ultraviolet exposure, sharp objects, chemicals and sources of heat. Keep packaging closed until use where appropriate and prevent mix-ups between similar bag revisions.
If outdoor or extended storage is expected, include that condition in the original enquiry. Request product-specific storage limits and marking instead of assuming all woven polypropylene bags age in the same way.
HANDLING
Match loops, lifting devices and operating practice
Use all lifting points as specified, keep lifting devices free from sharp edges and avoid shock loading, dragging or uncontrolled snagging. Confirm hook, fork or frame geometry against loop positions and free height. The operator should be able to see the bag condition and stop if the load becomes unstable.
Filling, lifting, transport, stacking and discharge are separate stages. Define the approved method for each stage and do not transfer instructions from a visually similar bag without review.

Can a bag be lifted by fewer loops than shown?
