Replacement Bottleneck and Form-Fit FIBC Liners

If you are keeping the outer bag and replacing the liner, start with the retained shell and both machine connections. Relia’s catalog lists bottleneck and shaped liners, and a published dual-spout PE-lined model illustrates a complete assembly. Measure each neck consistently and trial the liner in the actual shell before placing a repeat order.

The Existing Bag as the Fit Reference

Give us the bag’s inside dimensions, shape and seam layout. Share any old liner drawing or sample and mark the places where it shifts or bunches.

Manufacturing checks for this specification

Form-fit geometry depends on the cut body, shaped transitions, outlet position and the location of sealed seams or attachment points. Relia’s liner catalog shows several shapes. The offer should identify film construction, thickness, body and neck tolerances, retention method and whether the liner is supplied loose or installed.

  2. 02Cut and seal to drawing
  3. 03Check fit and flow

Record diameter or lay-flat width explicitly. As an ideal calculation, a round 200 mm diameter neck corresponds to approximately 314 mm lay-flat before tolerance, seams or gussets. In the supported trial, check engagement at both ends, fold position, liner movement and residual product after discharge.

Convert dimensions before comparing liner quotes

Mark whether a neck is dimensioned by diameter or lay-flat width. For an ideal ungusseted round tube, lay-flat width equals half the circumference, so a nominal 200 mm diameter is about 314 mm lay-flat. Real fit still depends on tolerance, seams and engagement length.

The IMPQ04503 product illustrates a complete U-panel bag with a fitted PE liner. For a standalone replacement, supply the retained shell drawing and attachment points, then check outlet migration and residual powder against the old liner.

Neck Dimensions in a Common Format

Specify whether a neck dimension is diameter or lay-flat width. Give usable length and engagement depth so the sample can be assessed on the actual filling head.

Body Fit and Attachment Points

Mark the intended liner orientation and attachment locations on the drawing. Review how it sits in the bag at the start and end of filling.

The Outlet and a Clear Flow Path

Send a photo of the existing liner at the discharge point. Check the proposed outlet for bunching and movement during a representative sample trial.

A retained shell sample as a fit reference

Measure the existing bag before removing the old liner, then photograph the attachment points and the supported outlet position. Compare the replacement with those photos before filling. Include the depth needed for the inlet and outlet to engage the equipment. Record whether the new liner is loose, held by tabs or supplied installed, because changing retention can change its position at discharge. The IMPQ04503 drawing reference lists a 16 × 19 in filling spout and a 14 × 19 in C-style discharge spout. These are the example bag’s dimensions. Use the retained shell and machine dimensions to specify your replacement.

A Side-by-Side Discharge Trial

Use the same powder and outer bag for the old and new liners where possible. Record changeover, flow interruption, residue and liner position using agreed criteria.

Film and Seam Samples

Agree the material and thickness requirements before testing fit. A sample set lets you review the seam, closure and drawing together.

A Bag Listing as a Shape Reference

Our U-panel product with a form-fit liner is a complete bag reference. Provide your own existing bag dimensions when you need an independently quoted replacement liner.

Evidence to keep with the order

Put inlet and outlet measurement conventions on the purchase drawing. Keep a retained or photographed fit sample that identifies the parent bag. A liner that fits an empty shell still needs a discharge observation if folds or outlet movement affect the material flow.

Procurement step 08

A Repeatable Liner Order

Tie the liner drawing, material and accepted sample to a revision. Ask how lots will be identified and keep the replacement specification separate from the outer bag order.
