PP Lifting Webbing for FIBC Component Buyers

If you buy PP webbing for your own FIBC line, quote width, linear mass and tensile requirement together. Relia’s catalog lists woven straps in multiple widths and cites at least 18,500 N for one 45 g/m specification. Confirm the test method and lot for the quoted webbing, then approve the stitched attachment in your bag construction.

One Specification for Each Component

Separate roll webbing, cut lengths and ties in your bill of materials. Include color, tolerance, end finish and delivery form for each item.

Manufacturing checks for this specification

Relia’s catalog describes needle looms producing webbing and ties in the 10–100 mm range. Weave and width control how the strap feeds into cutting and sewing. Keep edge construction, color, winding, joint allowance and test requirements on the specification so the trial and production reels can be compared.

Verify linear mass from a measured sample. For example, 10 m weighing 420 g gives 42 g/m. Record width, tensile test method and failure mode against the supplied lot. Run the strap on the same sewing setup and fabric proposed for production. Finished bag approval requires its own assembly evidence.

Check webbing by width, linear mass and lot

Use grams per metre for webbing rather than the body cloth’s GSM. A 10 m sample weighing 420 g corresponds to 42 g/m. Record conditioning, width, thickness and the approved test method with the tensile result.

Compare the same webbing in your intended stitch and fabric combination. Material test results help qualify a component, while the finished bag and loop attachment have their own acceptance evidence.

Width, Linear Mass and Construction

Send your reference sample and identify the measurement method. Request width and mass per metre for the offered construction, with the intended tolerances.

The Actual Sewing Process

Use trial webbing with the threads, seam pattern and body cloth you use in production. Record feed, fraying and fit at the loop attachment.

A receiving sample that can be traced to the loom lot

Keep a representative cut length labeled with the reel and lot reference. Agree how to record visible defects, edge condition and reel joints. Report the test method and the measured result together when comparing lots. If you change webbing, preserve a sewn trial of the approved attachment so your team can compare feeding, fraying and stitch fit against the new reel.

Component Approval and Finished Bag Approval

Keep the component test and finished assembly approval in separate records. Webbing results help control the material in an approved finished bag design.

Color and Winding at Receiving

Use your reference swatch to assess color. Check winding, labels and length or piece count as applicable when the trial lot reaches your factory.

A Second-Source Changeover

Ask the offer to state the accepted construction, lot controls and what material changes need approval before shipment.

Evidence to keep with the order

A strap test measures the offered component under the stated method. Preserve the specimen ID and the result with the lot. The finished assembly still needs its own acceptance for the chosen stitch pattern, fabric and attachment, even if two straps have the same catalog width.
