Garden Waste Skip Bags for Collection and Retail

A garden waste skip bag has to fit both the collection route and your sales channel. For wet grass, measure actual loaded mass. For branches, check protrusion and contact against the bag. For retail, approve a separate folded pack and artwork sample. Relia’s catalog lists custom size, color, logo and packaging, so you can price the collection and retail requirements on the same drawing without mixing their acceptance criteria.

The Filled Bag and the Narrowest Gate

Measure the route where the filled bag will actually pass. Give us the gate width, turning space and the longest branch so you can trial the right envelope.

Manufacturing checks for this specification

Relia’s skip-bag range includes a 90 × 90 × 90 cm catalog reference and a low-profile 240 × 120 × 75 cm reference. Fabric cutting controls the footprint and panel shape. Sewn lifting attachments control pickup geometry. Folding orientation affects which side of the artwork and barcode is visible on the shelf.

Measure the narrowest gate and turn using a representative supported load. Record the filled profile and clearance, then check branch contact with the shell. On the retail sample, inspect fold dimensions, label orientation, barcode accessibility and a legible use-marking panel. Keep the two approval records linked to one SKU.

A clear-width trial for garden routes

Measure gate clearance between fixed faces at the narrowest point. Compare that measurement with the supported filled width and depth, including bulge and any projecting branches. A nominal empty bag width is a poor proxy for the clearance around a filled bag on a turn.

For retail orders, write a separate pack schedule for each size covering fold dimensions, sleeve orientation, barcode placement and units per carton. Keep one filled trial sample and one packed shelf sample as separate approval references.

Pickup from the Ground

Send a photo of the collection attachment and the bag in its normal pickup position. The drawing should identify the handling points and show how they remain accessible.

Wet Clippings and Dry Branches

Use representative fills to estimate the heaviest load and the bulkiest shape. Trial the two separately so volume and weight limits are visible to your operators.

A Retail Pack for Each SKU

Define the folded pack dimensions, label position and quantity per carton for each size. A sample of the packed SKU helps you verify shelf fit and barcode access.

Retail quantity and collection capacity are separate numbers

Use the catalog size as a dimensional reference and agree what a filled volume claim represents on the pack. Make sure the artwork explains the intended waste stream and how collection works. For a distributor, record carton quantity and the folded bag size as well as bag quantity. It keeps a packaging change from creating the appearance of a different collection specification.

Artwork and Use Markings

Send the actual pack artwork and target language. Keep operating instructions and the bag model identification legible after folding and packing.

The Route Trial

Test the collection sample against the typical route. Record the filled width, attachment access and any obstruction under your agreed handling procedure.

Approval by Intended Channel

Keep the route trial and retail sample as two approval records. Your recurring order can then repeat the correct drawing and pack specification.

Evidence to keep with the order

Use the same SKU on the drawing, retail sleeve and approval record. The route trial should show the filled bag clearing the pickup path. The packed sample should show correct barcode and artwork presentation. A pass on one sample closes only that part of the brief.

A separate collection brief helps when brick rubble becomes a regular stream. The print guide supports private-label work when the design also appears on the bag.
